Borderline personality disorder in adolescence: A focus on assessment and treatment (2024)

This live, interactive webinar will build upon our February 2022 webinar, which covered the evidence base for the existence of borderline personality disorder (BPD) in adolescents, as well as the effects of misdiagnosis or delayed diagnosis. This program will focus on both categorical and dimensional approaches to conceptualizing, assessing, and treating BPD in adolescents.

After a brief recap of the prior webinar’s key points, the presenters will examine how to assess borderline personality disorder symptoms and touch upon the issue of diagnosing BPD in adolescent girls versus adolescent

• Name at least two assessments that can be used in the screening and diagnosis of BPD in adolescents.
• Identify at least two possible treatment recommendations for adolescents with BPD.
• Apply differential diagnosis and treatment approaches based on the case example presented.
