Majora's Mask and Wind Waker? Especially the former.

MM, yes. Wind Waker was basically the same as any other Zelda, but with sailing filler. Graphically it was original, not so much in terms of actual gameplay.

While it's great that they aren't using Ganon/Ganondorf (which wouldn't make sense since this takes place before OoT), I'm not exactly found of the "white-haired pretty boy" look either... He reminds me too much of Vaati anyway.

I would not at all be surprised if Vaati was the one controlling him. We know Vaati's Hyrule's earliest antagonists, predating both the Master Sword and Ganon, and that he eventually became "Vaati the Wind Demon".

This is assuming that the 4-sword games even take place in the same continuity as the rest of the series...

Yeah, placing of Minish Cap is weird because people claim it to be the first, but then we have what seems to be the descendents of the Oracles. Better explanation than Ezlo being the source of Link's hat when the Kokiri already explain that. Sure, the monsters were released from a treasure chest, but someone must've put them inside there first (previous links perhaps).

Even if it was in the same continuity, I'd say its further up in the time line.

Crazy theory:

Ganon will appear in the game, but won't be evil--at least not yet. All three of the characters will be representatives of the three pieces of the Triforce, and Ganon becomes evil near the end of the game (though won't be the villain) to explain why his future incarnations act the way they do, and why the Triforce of power seems to always align itself to him

I'm seriously loving Ghirahim the more I see his character develop. It's nice to see that Zelda is becoming creative with the villains again, after the two DS game's genero-antagonists.

I like his design. Now a good background for him, a good developing story of the game and I'll be VERY happy.

So apparently this game's plot was inspired by Harry Potter, with this dude being the Draco Malfoy of Link and Zelda's magic school. That's kind of adorable.

Hmm...I don't think so.

There's said to be a school setting at the beginning, but I don't think Ghirahim is a student there...nor is it a magic school. 0.o
Link learns to fly on his bird I think, but that's it.

That being said, the interview with Anouma in Famitsu did reveal that Ghirahim is made to match the player's sword skills, like Shadow Link, and evolves as you fight him throughout the game.

EDIT: And there seems to be an origin story for Ganon...but maybe not an exact appearance. The common speculation is perhaps Link meeting his mother...although I also like the speculation of Link being his father. :X

^^ Lolz

That would be called surprising plotting. Link's incarnations beating his own child... CHILD ABUSE!

EDIT: I was thinking about music instruments. If you have to play music again, then why can't you play a violin? Maybe it's not that easy to travel with, but is it with the Ball & Chain in TP? You could swing the wii-remote around the nunchuk and push buttons for the notes.

To be fair, it isn't very easy to travel with boots made of pure iron, but he doesn't seem to struggle.

And I think a violin would be a really cool idea! I would be totally happy if you could play a violin!

As much as I love Zelda, I'm getting bored with Ganon/Ganondorf being the antagonist, or the "brains behind the operation". Hopefully, this one isn't a puppet to Ganon/Ganondorf.

Unlikely, since this was before Ganondorf's birth, but you know, it's Ganondorf so he can just grab the ocarina of time...

Oh, I didn't know that. I stopped trying to figure out the timeline a while ago. Zelda: Skyward Sword's Villain (16)

Has anyone heard of the nam Debbie the Fabulous? Ghirahim was called that way before his name became known.

Kinda make sense for having a new villian since this takes place before OoT, which means Ganon has yet to make his move. As for those complaining about him, what about Bowser? Plus TV Tropes mentioned that the people who complained about Ganon in TP also complained about him not making a brief appearance in TP's trailers. I have a feeling Ghirahim will appear in the next Smash Bros. game.
