TUESDAY, OCTOBER 20, 1998. A3 THE MESSENGER Donald Bruce Sizemore 71, of Madisonville, died at 11:35 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16, 1998, at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville. Born June 16, 1927, in Hopkins County, he was the son of the late Wilbur Sizemore and Mona Villines Sizemore.

He was a master electrician, was a coal miner who retired from Coal Company and the Colonial Mines, and was a veteran of the Armed Forces who served in the Navy from 1945-1947, where he also served as a petty officer. He had attended the Grapevine Baptist Church in Madisonville and was a member of the American Legion Post and the Moose Lodge. He was preceded in death by one sister. He is survived by one daughter, Roseann Laffoon of Madisonville; one son, Johnny Ray Sizemore of Marion, one sister, Dellia Burden Evansville, two brothers, Durall Sizemore of Evansville, and the Rev. Denzel Sizemore of Dawson Springs, and one granddaughter.

Services will be 1 p.m. today at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, with the Rev. Bobby Alvey and the Rev. Denzel Sizemore officiating. Entombment will be in the Menser Cemetery Mausoleum.

Visitation times for today were not available. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Bourland, R.G. Johnson, James Bourland, Frankie Hunt, Jim Hunt, and Tommy Hunt. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Hunt and Danny Haley. Betty Wade Millard Madisonville Mausoleum at Odd Fellows Cemetery.

Margaret D. Mayes, 78, of West First Street in Calhoun, died Friday, Oct. 16, 1998, at Owensboro Mercy Health Systems in Owensboro, Ky. She was born July 5, 1920, in Calhoun. She was a retired teacher who taught at Calhoun Elementary School and was a member of the Calhoun United Methodist Church and the McLean County, Retired Teacher's Association.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Mayes, on Nov. 11, 1966. She is survived by two sons, Joseph W. Mayes of Layton, Ohio, and Donald E.

Mayes Jr. of Louisville, one brother, Joe Groves of Calhoun; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Muster Funeral Home, Calhoun Chapel, with the Rev. Beryll Fentress officiating.

Burial will be in Calhoun Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to the McLean County Senior Citizens Center, Muster Funeral Home, P.O.
